Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigerant manifold gauge set
  • Vacuum pump
  • Leak detector
  • Multimeter
  • Tube cutter and bender
  • Flaring tool set
  • Torque wrench

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance, solid mounting surface, and away from heat sources.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Securely mount the indoor unit on wall bracket ensuring level installation.
  3. Install Outdoor Unit: Place outdoor unit on stable pad with proper vibration isolation and clearance for airflow.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect copper lines between indoor and outdoor units using proper flaring techniques.
  5. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate system to 500 microns minimum, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  6. Electrical Connections: Connect power wiring according to local electrical codes and unit specifications.
  7. Drain Line Installation: Install condensate drain line with proper slope and trap where required.
  8. System Testing: Test operation in cooling and heating modes, check pressures and temperatures.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. Handling refrigerant requires EPA certification.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power outage, tripped breaker, faulty remote Check power supply, reset breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling performance Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked condenser Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear condenser area
Water leakage Clogged drain line, improper installation Clear drain line, ensure proper slope and insulation
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, worn bearings Tighten components, clean fan blades, lubricate bearings
Frozen coils Low airflow, low refrigerant, dirty filters Check filters, verify refrigerant charge, ensure proper airflow
Fan not running Faulty capacitor, motor failure, control board issue Test capacitor, check motor windings, inspect control board

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Evaporator temperature sensor failure - Replace sensor
  • E3: Condenser temperature sensor failure - Check sensor
  • E4: Communication error - Check wiring between units
  • E5: High pressure protection - Clean condenser, check fan
  • E6: Low pressure protection - Check for leaks, refrigerant charge
