Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Refrigerant manifold gauge set
- Vacuum pump
- Leak detector
- Multimeter
- Tube cutter and bender
- Torque wrench
- Insulation tape
Step-by-Step Installation
- Site Preparation: Select a location with proper clearance, solid mounting surface, and adequate ventilation for both indoor and outdoor units.
- Mounting Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate securely on wall, ensuring proper leveling and structural support for the indoor unit.
- Install Outdoor Unit: Place on stable pad or mounting brackets with proper vibration isolation and minimum 12-inch clearance on all sides.
- Refrigerant Line Connection: Connect copper lines between indoor and outdoor units using proper brazing techniques with nitrogen purge.
- Electrical Connection: Connect power wiring according to local electrical codes, ensuring proper grounding and circuit protection.
- Drain Line Installation: Install condensate drain line with proper slope and trap to ensure proper drainage.
- System Evacuation: Evacuate system to 500 microns or less to remove moisture and non-condensables.
- Refrigerant Charging: Charge system with correct refrigerant type and amount according to manufacturer specifications.
- System Testing: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and thermostat operation.
