Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigerant manifold gauge set
  • Vacuum pump
  • Leak detector
  • Multimeter
  • Tube cutter and bender
  • Torque wrench
  • Insulation tape

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Preparation: Select a location with proper clearance, solid mounting surface, and adequate ventilation for both indoor and outdoor units.
  2. Mounting Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate securely on wall, ensuring proper leveling and structural support for the indoor unit.
  3. Install Outdoor Unit: Place on stable pad or mounting brackets with proper vibration isolation and minimum 12-inch clearance on all sides.
  4. Refrigerant Line Connection: Connect copper lines between indoor and outdoor units using proper brazing techniques with nitrogen purge.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect power wiring according to local electrical codes, ensuring proper grounding and circuit protection.
  6. Drain Line Installation: Install condensate drain line with proper slope and trap to ensure proper drainage.
  7. System Evacuation: Evacuate system to 500 microns or less to remove moisture and non-condensables.
  8. Refrigerant Charging: Charge system with correct refrigerant type and amount according to manufacturer specifications.
  9. System Testing: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and thermostat operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. Improper installation may cause equipment damage, reduced efficiency, or safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power supply issue, tripped breaker, faulty remote Check power supply, reset breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling performance Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked condenser Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear condenser area
Water leakage Clogged drain line, improper installation, frozen coil Clear drain line, check installation slope, defrost system
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, compressor issues Tighten components, clean fan blades, check compressor
Frozen evaporator coil Low airflow, low refrigerant, dirty filter Check fan operation, verify refrigerant charge, clean filter
Short cycling Oversized unit, thermostat issues, dirty coils Verify unit sizing, check thermostat, clean coils

Error Codes
