Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Refrigerant manifold gauge set
- Vacuum pump
- Leak detector
- Multimeter
- Tubing cutter and bender
- Torque wrench set
Step-by-Step Installation
- Site Preparation: Select a location with proper clearance for airflow and service access, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
- Mounting Bracket Installation: Securely install wall mounting bracket using appropriate anchors for wall type.
- Refrigerant Line Connection: Connect copper refrigerant lines using proper brazing techniques with nitrogen purge to prevent oxidation.
- Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper voltage (230V/208V) and install disconnect switch within sight of unit.
- Condensate Drain Installation: Install drain line with proper slope (1/4" per foot) and trap to prevent air lock.
- Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold for 15 minutes, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
- System Testing: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and thermostat operation.
