Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigerant manifold gauge set
  • Vacuum pump
  • Leak detector
  • Multimeter
  • Tubing cutter and bender
  • Torque wrench set

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Preparation: Select a location with proper clearance for airflow and service access, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  2. Mounting Bracket Installation: Securely install wall mounting bracket using appropriate anchors for wall type.
  3. Refrigerant Line Connection: Connect copper refrigerant lines using proper brazing techniques with nitrogen purge to prevent oxidation.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper voltage (230V/208V) and install disconnect switch within sight of unit.
  5. Condensate Drain Installation: Install drain line with proper slope (1/4" per foot) and trap to prevent air lock.
  6. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold for 15 minutes, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  7. System Testing: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and thermostat operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. Proper refrigerant handling certification required by law.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power loss, tripped breaker, faulty remote Check power supply, reset breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling performance Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked condenser Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear condenser area
Water leakage Clogged drain line, improper installation Clear drain line, check installation slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, compressor issues Tighten mounting hardware, clear debris, check compressor
Ice formation on coils Low airflow, low refrigerant, dirty coils Check filters and fan, verify refrigerant charge, clean coils
Error code display Sensor failure, communication error, system fault Refer to error code chart, check connections, reset system

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Pipe temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E3: Communication error - Check wiring between units
  • E4: High pressure protection - Check condenser airflow
  • E5: Low pressure protection - Check for refrigerant leak
  • E6: Compressor overload - Check voltage and compressor
