Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigerant manifold gauge set
  • Vacuum pump
  • Tube cutter and bender
  • Leak detector
  • Multimeter
  • Torque wrench set
  • Insulation materials

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Selection: Choose location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm from walls), adequate drainage, and structural support for outdoor unit.
  2. Mounting: Install mounting brackets for outdoor unit on solid concrete pad or wall brackets. Ensure level installation.
  3. Refrigerant Lines: Connect copper refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units. Use proper insulation on suction line.
  4. Electrical Connections: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper voltage (208-230V). Follow local electrical codes for disconnect requirements.
  5. Drainage System: Install condensate drain line with proper slope (minimum 1/4" per foot) and trap where required.
  6. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold for 15 minutes. Charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  7. System Testing: Test all modes (cooling, heating, fan), check temperature differential, verify proper drainage.
Warning: Installation must be performed by licensed HVAC technicians. Refrigerant handling requires EPA certification. Improper installation voids warranty.

Standard cooling operation with temperature range 64°F to 86°F

Heat Mode

Heating operation with automatic defrost cycle (heat pump models)

Dry Mode

Dehumidification without significant temperature change

Fan Mode

Air circulation only with 3-speed fan control

Auto Mode

Automatic switching between cooling and heating based on room temperature

Sleep Mode

Gradual temperature adjustment and reduced fan speed for comfortable sleep

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power loss, tripped breaker, faulty remote Check power supply, reset breaker, replace remote batteries
Insufficient cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear obstructions
Water leakage Clogged drain line, improper installation slope Clear drain line, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, compressor issues Tighten components, clean fan blades, check compressor
Ice formation on coils Low refrigerant, dirty coils, airflow restriction Check charge, clean coils, ensure proper airflow
Frequent cycling Oversized unit, thermostat issues, dirty filters Verify sizing, check thermostat, clean/replace filters

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Coil temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E3: High pressure protection - Check condenser, clean if dirty
  • E4: Low pressure protection - Check for leaks, refrigerant charge
  • E5: Compressor overload - Check voltage, allow cool-down period
  • E6: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • E7: Fan motor error - Check fan motor and capacitor
  • E8: Water overflow protection - Clear drain line
