Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigerant gauges and manifold
  • Vacuum pump
  • Tubing cutter and bender
  • Leak detector
  • Electrical multimeter
  • Drill with hole saw attachments
  • Level and measuring tape

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Selection: Choose appropriate locations for indoor and outdoor units considering airflow, drainage, and accessibility for maintenance.
  2. Mounting Brackets: Install mounting brackets for outdoor unit on a solid, level surface with proper vibration isolation.
  3. Refrigerant Line Installation: Run copper refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units with proper insulation to prevent condensation.
  4. Electrical Connections: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper grounding according to local electrical codes and manufacturer specifications.
  5. Drain Line Installation: Install condensate drain line with proper slope and trap to ensure proper drainage.
  6. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate the system to remove moisture and air, then charge with specified refrigerant type and quantity.
  7. System Testing: Test all functions including cooling, heating (if applicable), fan speeds, and thermostat operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. Improper installation can cause equipment damage, reduced efficiency, and void warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power outage, tripped breaker, faulty remote Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Insufficient cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear obstructions
Water leakage Clogged drain line, improper installation slope Clear drain line, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, worn bearings Tighten components, clean fan blades, lubricate bearings
Frozen coils Dirty filters, low refrigerant, restricted airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant level, ensure proper airflow
Frequent cycling Oversized unit, thermostat issues, dirty coils Check sizing, calibrate thermostat, clean evaporator coils

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Evaporator temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E3: Condenser temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E4: Communication error between units - Check wiring connections
  • E5: High pressure protection - Check for restricted airflow
  • E6: Low pressure protection - Check for refrigerant leak
