Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigerant manifold gauge set
  • Vacuum pump
  • Torque wrench set
  • Flaring tool kit
  • Multimeter
  • Tube cutter
  • Leak detector

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Preparation: Select a location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm from walls), solid mounting surface, and adequate drainage.
  2. Mounting Unit: Secure outdoor unit on vibration-absorbing pads or mounting brackets. Ensure level installation.
  3. Refrigerant Line Installation: Connect copper lines using proper flaring techniques. Apply insulation to suction line.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper disconnect. Follow local electrical codes.
  5. Drain Line Installation: Install condensate drain line with proper slope (minimum 1/4" per foot) and trap.
  6. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold for 15 minutes. Charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  7. System Testing: Test operation in cooling and heating modes. Verify proper airflow and temperature differential.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. Improper installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power supply issue, tripped breaker, faulty remote Check power supply, reset breaker, replace remote batteries
Insufficient cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear obstructions
Water leakage Clogged drain line, improper installation, frozen coil Clear drain line, check installation angle, defrost system
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, compressor issues Tighten mounting hardware, clean fan blades, check compressor
Frequent cycling Dirty filters, thermostat issues, oversized unit Clean/replace filters, calibrate thermostat, verify sizing
Ice formation on coils Low airflow, low refrigerant, dirty coils Check filters and fan, verify refrigerant charge, clean coils

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Replace sensor
  • E2: Coil temperature sensor failure - Replace sensor
  • E3: Communication error - Check wiring between units
  • E4: High pressure protection - Check condenser, clean coils
  • E5: Low pressure protection - Check for leaks, refrigerant charge
  • E6: Compressor overload - Check voltage, compressor windings
  • E7: Fan motor failure - Check fan motor and capacitor
