Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Refrigeration manifold gauge set
- Vacuum pump
- Tubing cutter and bender
- Torque wrench set
- Multimeter
- Level
- Leak detector
Step-by-Step Installation
- Select Installation Location: Choose a location for both indoor and outdoor units with proper clearance, solid foundation, and accessibility for maintenance.
- Prepare Mounting Surface: Ensure concrete pad or mounting brackets are level and properly secured for outdoor unit installation.
- Install Refrigerant Lines: Connect copper refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units using proper brazing techniques and nitrogen purge.
- Electrical Connections: Connect to dedicated 240V circuit with proper disconnect switch and circuit breaker. Follow local electrical codes.
- Install Drain Line: Route condensate drain line to proper drainage location with appropriate slope and trap installation.
- Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate system to 500 microns minimum, then charge with specified refrigerant type and quantity.
- System Startup: Power up system, check all electrical connections, verify proper airflow, and test all operating modes.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit not cooling | Thermostat setting, power issue, dirty filter | Check thermostat settings, verify power supply, clean or replace air filter |
| Insufficient cooling | Dirty coils, low refrigerant, restricted airflow | Clean evaporator and condenser coils, check refrigerant charge, ensure proper airflow |
| Unit cycles on/off frequently | Dirty filter, thermostat location, oversized unit | Clean filter, relocate thermostat away from heat sources, verify proper sizing |
| Water leakage | Clogged drain line, improper slope, frozen coil | Clear drain line, ensure proper drainage slope, check for ice formation |
| Unusual noises | Loose parts, debris in fan, failing motor | Tighten all fasteners, clear debris from fan, inspect motor and bearings |
| High energy bills | Dirty filters, leaking ducts, poor insulation | Maintain clean filters, seal ductwork, improve home insulation |
