Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench set
  • Torque wrench
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe thread sealant
  • Pressure gauge
  • Level

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Location: Choose a clean, dry, well-ventilated area with adequate space for maintenance access and proper airflow.
  2. Foundation Preparation: Ensure a solid, level concrete foundation capable of supporting the compressor's weight and vibration.
  3. Uncrating: Remove all shipping materials, protective covers, and shipping blocks from the compressor unit.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to appropriate power supply following local electrical codes. Ensure proper grounding.
  5. Air System Connection: Install air lines using proper pipe size with downward slope for condensation drainage.
  6. Oil Check: Verify oil level is at proper mark on sight glass before initial startup.
  7. Pressure Settings: Adjust pressure switch cut-in and cut-out settings according to requirements.
  8. Initial Run: Run compressor without load for 30 minutes to circulate oil and check for leaks.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel following all local codes and regulations. Failure to properly install may void warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload Check power supply, reset overload, verify pressure switch settings
Low pressure output Air leaks, clogged filter, worn valves Check for leaks, replace air filter, inspect valve assembly
Excessive noise/vibration Loose mounting, worn bearings, misalignment Tighten mounting bolts, check bearings, verify alignment
High temperature Dirty cooler, low oil, restricted airflow Clean cooler fins, check oil level, ensure proper ventilation
Oil in air lines Worn separator, overfilled oil, wrong oil type Replace separator element, drain excess oil, use correct oil
Frequent cycling Air leaks, small receiver, wrong pressure settings Locate and repair leaks, check tank size, adjust pressure switch

Error Codes

  • E01: High temperature - Check cooling system and oil level
  • E02: Low pressure - Check for leaks and compressor output
  • E03: Motor overload - Check electrical connections and load
  • E04: Phase loss - Verify all three phases are present
  • E05: Sensor fault - Check pressure/temperature sensors
  • E06: Maintenance required - Service interval reached
  • E07: Oil pressure low - Check oil level and pump
  • E08: Communication error - Check control wiring
