Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigeration manifold gauge set
  • Vacuum pump
  • Torque wrench set
  • Multimeter
  • Leak detector
  • Tube bender and cutter
  • Insulation materials

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Preparation: Select a location with proper clearance (minimum 1m on all sides), solid foundation, and adequate structural support.
  2. Uncrating & Inspection: Remove all shipping materials, inspect for damage, and verify all components are present.
  3. Mounting Unit: Install vibration isolators and secure the outdoor unit to the prepared pad or roof structure.
  4. Refrigerant Piping: Install correctly sized copper piping with proper insulation. Ensure all joints are brazed with nitrogen purge.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated power supply with proper disconnects. Follow local electrical codes and manufacturer specifications.
  6. Drainage System: Install condensate drain line with proper slope and trap. Include auxiliary drain pan if required.
  7. Vacuum & Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold for 30 minutes, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  8. System Startup: Perform complete system check, verify all safety controls, and commission the unit.
Warning: Installation must be performed by licensed HVAC technicians. Improper installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not starting Power loss, tripped breaker, faulty contactor Check power supply, reset breakers, test contactor coil
Insufficient cooling Low refrigerant, dirty coils, restricted airflow Check refrigerant charge, clean coils, verify filter condition
Compressor short cycling High head pressure, low suction pressure, faulty sensors Check pressures, clean condenser, verify sensor readings
Water leakage Clogged drain line, improper trap, damaged drain pan Clear drain line, verify trap installation, inspect drain pan
Excessive noise Loose components, bearing failure, unbalanced fan Tighten all fasteners, check bearings, balance fan assembly
High energy consumption Dirty filters, low refrigerant, incorrect settings Replace filters, check charge, verify thermostat settings

Error Codes

  • E1: High pressure fault - Check condenser airflow and refrigerant charge
  • E2: Low pressure fault - Check for restrictions and refrigerant level
  • E3: Compressor overload - Check electrical connections and compressor windings
  • E4: Sensor failure - Check temperature sensors and wiring
  • E5: Communication error - Check control board connections
  • E6: Fan motor fault - Check fan motor and capacitor
  • E7: Defrost fault - Check defrost sensors and timer
  • E8: Phase loss - Check three-phase power supply
