Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Tape measure
  • Vacuum pump and gauge manifold

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location on an exterior wall that can support the unit's weight and has proper clearance for airflow.
  2. Install Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors for your wall type.
  3. Create Wall Opening: Cut a hole in the wall according to the template provided for the refrigerant lines and drain hose.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect the pre-charged refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring tight connections.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 115V, 15A circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes.
  6. Drainage Setup: Install drain hose with proper slope away from the unit to ensure water drainage.
  7. Vacuum and Test: Evacuate the system using a vacuum pump, then release refrigerant and test operation.
Warning: Installation should be performed by a certified HVAC technician. DIY installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit won't turn on Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, incorrect temperature setting Clean filters, clear obstructions, set appropriate temperature
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain line, improper installation slope Clear drain line, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibrating components Tighten mounting hardware, clear debris, check for vibrations
Frozen coils Dirty filters, low refrigerant, restricted airflow Clean filters, call for service, ensure proper airflow
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote sensor issue Replace batteries, clear line of sight, check sensor

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor error - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Pipe temperature sensor error - Check sensor connection
  • E3: Communication error - Check wiring between units
  • E4: High pressure protection - Check for blocked airflow
  • E5: Low pressure protection - Check for refrigerant leak
  • E6: Compressor overload - Allow unit to cool, check voltage
