Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Tape measure
  • Vacuum pump and gauge manifold

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper wall support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with adequate clearance for airflow.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Securely mount the indoor unit bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors for your wall type.
  3. Create Wall Opening: Drill a 3-inch hole through the wall for refrigerant lines and drainage hose, ensuring proper slope for drainage.
  4. Install Outdoor Unit: Place outdoor unit on stable, level surface with proper clearance (minimum 12 inches on all sides).
  5. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect copper refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring tight connections to prevent leaks.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 230V, 15A circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes.
  7. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines using vacuum pump, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  8. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating (if applicable), fan speeds, and thermostat operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. DIY installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling performance Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check for refrigerant leaks, clear obstructions
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibrating pipes Tighten mounting, clear debris, secure refrigerant lines
Frozen indoor unit Dirty filters, low refrigerant, restricted airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, ensure proper airflow
Remote control not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, sensor issue Replace batteries, clear line of sight, check sensor

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Pipe temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E3: Communication error - Check wiring between units
  • E4: High pressure protection - Check for blocked condenser
  • E5: Low pressure protection - Check for refrigerant leak
  • E6: Compressor overload - Allow unit to cool, check voltage
  • E7: Fan motor failure - Check fan motor and connections
  • E8: Water full protection - Empty drain pan, check pump
