Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Tape measure
  • Pipe thread sealant

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a clean, dry, well-ventilated area with adequate clearance for maintenance and operation.
  2. Prepare the Surface: Place on a solid, level concrete floor capable of supporting the compressor's weight when fully loaded.
  3. Check Oil Level: Verify oil level is at the center of the sight glass before first use. Add recommended compressor oil if needed.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 15A, 60Hz dedicated circuit. Use appropriate gauge extension cord if needed.
  5. Air System Setup: Connect air hoses using appropriate fittings. Install an in-line filter/regulator for best performance.
  6. Pressure Settings: Adjust pressure switch cut-in and cut-out settings according to your tool requirements.
  7. Initial Test Run: Run compressor without load for 30 minutes to break in the pump. Check for leaks and proper operation.
Warning: Always wear safety glasses when operating air compressor. Ensure all connections are secure before pressurizing system.

Key Features

Oil-Lubricated Pump

Durable oil-lubricated pump design provides longer life, quieter operation, and better heat dissipation compared to oil-free models.

ASME Certified Tank

20-gallon ASME certified tank meets rigorous safety standards and includes a lifetime limited warranty against defects.

Dual Voltage Motor

Powerful 1.8 HP motor operates on standard 120V household current, making it suitable for home workshops and job sites.

Thermal Overload Protection

Built-in thermal overload protection prevents motor damage from overheating during extended use or high-demand applications.

Quick Recovery Time

Fast pump recovery quickly replenishes air supply, maintaining consistent pressure for continuous tool operation.

Low Amp Draw

Efficient motor design minimizes amp draw, reducing strain on electrical circuits and preventing tripped breakers.

Recommended Applications

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload Check power supply, reset thermal overload, check pressure switch
Low pressure output Air leaks, worn pump rings, faulty check valve Check for leaks, inspect check valve, test pump output
Excessive noise/vibration Loose components, worn bearings, improper mounting Tighten all fasteners, check mounting, inspect bearings
Oil in air lines Overfilled oil, worn piston rings, faulty air/oil separator Check oil level, inspect piston rings, replace separator if needed
Motor overheating Dirty cooling fins, low voltage, excessive cycling Clean cooling fins, check voltage, allow proper cool down
Slow recovery time Worn valves, intake filter clogged, leaking gaskets Clean intake filter, check valves, inspect gaskets

Maintenance Schedule

  • Daily: Drain moisture from tank, check oil level
  • Weekly: Inspect hoses and connections for leaks
  • Monthly: Clean intake filter, check belt tension
  • Every 3 Months: Change compressor oil
  • Every 6 Months: Inspect safety valve, clean cooling fins
  • Annually: Complete system inspection, replace air filter
