Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Adjustable wrench set
- Pipe thread sealant (Teflon tape or pipe dope)
- Level
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
- Air hose and fittings
Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a clean, dry, well-ventilated area with adequate clearance for maintenance and operation.
- Prepare the Surface: Place on a solid, level concrete floor capable of supporting the compressor's weight (approximately 200 lbs when full).
- Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 240V, 60Hz, 15A circuit with proper grounding. Use appropriate wire gauge for distance.
- Drain Installation: Install a drain valve at the lowest point of the tank to allow for regular moisture removal.
- Air Line Connection: Connect air lines using appropriate fittings. Apply thread sealant to all connections.
- Pressure Regulation: Install pressure regulator and gauge according to your specific application requirements.
- Initial Startup: Fill with recommended compressor oil, check all connections, then run through initial break-in procedure.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Compressor won't start | Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload | Check power supply, reset thermal overload, inspect pressure switch |
| Low pressure output | Leaks, worn rings, intake filter clogged | Check for air leaks, inspect piston rings, clean/replace air filter |
| Excessive noise/vibration | Loose components, worn bearings, improper mounting | Tighten all fasteners, check motor/pump bearings, ensure level installation |
| Oil in air lines | Overfilled oil, worn piston rings, wrong oil type | Drain to proper level, inspect rings, use only recommended compressor oil |
| Motor overheats | Low voltage, restricted ventilation, excessive cycling | Check voltage, ensure adequate clearance, reduce demand or increase tank size |
| Slow recovery time | Intake filter clogged, leaking check valve, worn pump | Clean air filter, inspect check valve, measure pump output |
Maintenance Schedule
- Daily: Drain moisture from tank, check oil level
- Weekly: Inspect for leaks, check belt tension (if applicable)
- Monthly: Clean intake filter, check safety valve operation
- Every 3 Months: Change compressor oil
- Every 6 Months: Inspect and clean pressure switch
- Annually: Complete system inspection, replace air filter
