33 Gallon Capacity

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Tape measure
  • Pipe thread sealant

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a clean, dry, well-ventilated location with adequate clearance for maintenance and operation.
  2. Prepare the Surface: Place on a solid, level concrete floor capable of supporting the compressor's weight (approximately 200 lbs when full).
  3. Check Oil Level: Verify oil level in the pump before first use. Add compressor oil if necessary to reach proper level.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 60Hz, 15A dedicated circuit. Use appropriate gauge extension cord if needed.
  5. Air System Setup: Install air filter on intake, connect air hose to outlet using appropriate fittings with thread sealant.
  6. Pressure Settings: Set cut-in and cut-out pressure according to your tool requirements (typically 90-125 PSI).
  7. Initial Run: Run compressor without load for 30 minutes to break in pump, then check for leaks and proper operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed in accordance with local codes and regulations. Ensure proper ventilation to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch off, thermal overload tripped Check power supply, ensure pressure switch is on, reset thermal overload
Low pressure output Air leak, worn piston rings, clogged intake filter Check for leaks, inspect piston rings, clean or replace air filter
Excessive noise/vibration Loose components, worn bearings, improper mounting Tighten all fasteners, check bearings, ensure proper installation
Motor overheating Inadequate ventilation, excessive cycling, low voltage Improve ventilation, check for leaks, verify proper voltage
Oil in air lines Overfilled oil, worn piston rings, incorrect oil type Check oil level, inspect rings, use only compressor oil
Slow recovery time Worn valves, leaking check valve, intake restriction Inspect valves, check for leaks, clean intake system

Maintenance Schedule

  • Daily: Drain moisture from tank, check oil level
  • Weekly: Inspect for leaks, check belt tension
  • Monthly: Clean intake filter, check valve operation
  • Every 3 Months: Change compressor oil
  • Every 6 Months: Inspect safety valve, check motor brushes
  • Annually: Complete system inspection, replace air filter
