Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload tripped Check power supply, reset thermal overload, check pressure switch
Low pressure output Leaks in system, worn pump rings, clogged air filter Check for leaks, clean or replace air filter, inspect pump
Excessive noise/vibration Loose components, worn motor bearings, uneven surface Tighten all fasteners, ensure level surface, check motor mounts
Air leaks Loose fittings, damaged hoses, faulty check valve Tighten all connections, replace damaged hoses, check valves
Motor overheats Restricted ventilation, excessive cycling, low voltage Ensure proper ventilation, check voltage, allow cool-down periods
Slow recovery time Clogged intake filter, worn pump, excessive demand Clean air filter, check pump condition, reduce air tool demand

Maintenance Schedule

  • Daily: Drain moisture from tank, check for leaks
  • Weekly: Inspect hoses and fittings, clean air filter
  • Monthly: Check safety valve operation, inspect electrical connections
  • Annually: Complete system inspection, check tank for corrosion
  • As Needed: Replace worn components, clean cooling fins
