Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench set
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe wrench
  • Tape measure
  • Safety glasses and gloves

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a well-ventilated area with solid, level concrete flooring and adequate clearance for maintenance.
  2. Uncrating and Inspection: Remove all shipping materials and inspect for damage. Check oil level in pump before operation.
  3. Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated 230V, 60Hz circuit with proper grounding. Requires 30-40 amp circuit breaker.
  4. Air System Setup: Install proper air filtration, regulator, and lubricator if required for your tools. Use Teflon tape on all threaded connections.
  5. Drain Installation: Connect drain line to tank drain valve and route to appropriate drainage location.
  6. Leveling: Adjust leveling feet to ensure compressor is perfectly level to prevent vibration and uneven wear.
  7. Initial Startup: Open tank drain valve, turn power on, and allow compressor to build pressure. Check for leaks during first cycle.
Warning: Installation must comply with local electrical codes. Professional installation recommended for electrical connections.

Key Features

Two-Stage Pump System

Dual piston design provides higher pressure and greater efficiency. First stage compresses air to intermediate pressure, second stage delivers full 175 PSI output.

ASME Certified Tank

60-gallon ASME certified tank with lifetime warranty. Features industrial-grade construction with safety valve and pressure gauge.

Industrial Duty Motor

7 HP, 230V single-phase motor with thermal overload protection and heavy-duty start capacitor for reliable operation under continuous use.

Automatic Tank Drain

Electronic auto-drain system removes moisture automatically, preventing corrosion and maintaining air quality for tools.

Low Oil Shutdown

Protection system automatically shuts down compressor when oil level is too low, preventing pump damage and costly repairs.

Vibration Isolation

Rubber isolation mounts reduce vibration and noise transmission, protecting the compressor and building structure.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload Check power supply, reset thermal overload, test pressure switch
Low pressure output Leaking valves, worn rings, intake filter clogged Check for leaks, inspect valves and rings, clean/replace air filter
Excessive noise/vibration Loose components, worn bearings, improper mounting Tighten all fasteners, check bearings, ensure proper leveling
Overheating Dirty cooling fins, low oil, restricted airflow Clean cooling fins, check oil level, ensure adequate ventilation
Frequent cycling Air leaks, faulty check valve, worn pump Check for system leaks, test check valve, inspect pump
Oil in air lines Worn piston rings, overfilled oil, faulty separator Check oil level, inspect rings, replace separator element

Maintenance Codes & Indicators

  • Red Light Flashing: Thermal overload - Allow cool down, check ventilation
  • Yellow Light On: Maintenance required - Check oil, filter, and drain
  • Green Light Off: Power issue - Check circuit breaker and connections
  • Pressure Gauge Fluctuation: Valve issue - Inspect intake/exhaust valves
  • Unusual Knocking: Bearing wear - Inspect connecting rods and bearings
  • Slow Recovery: Pump wear - Check piston rings and cylinder
