Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Tape measure

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a well-ventilated area on a solid, level floor away from flammable materials and excessive moisture.
  2. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all packaging materials and inspect the compressor for any shipping damage.
  3. Check Oil Level: Verify the oil level in the pump crankcase and add recommended oil if necessary.
  4. Position the Compressor: Place the compressor on a stable surface, ensuring all four feet are firmly planted.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 15A, AC only outlet with correct circuit protection. Do not use an extension cord.
  6. Connect Air Hose: Attach the air hose to the compressor outlet using appropriate fittings and thread sealant.
  7. Pressure Settings: Set the pressure regulator to the recommended PSI for your tools (typically 90-120 PSI).
  8. Test Run: Run the compressor without load for 10-15 minutes to break in the pump, then check for leaks and proper operation.
Warning: All installations must be performed by a qualified person. Ensure proper ventilation and follow all safety guidelines to prevent injury or damage.

Key Features

Oil-Lubricated Pump

The oil-lubricated pump provides superior durability and longer life compared to oil-free models, with better heat dissipation and reduced wear on components.

ASME Certified Tank

The 6-gallon ASME certified tank meets rigorous safety standards and is built to withstand years of reliable service with proper maintenance.

Thermal Overload Protection

Built-in thermal overload protection automatically shuts off the motor if it overheats, preventing damage and ensuring safe operation.

Quick-Connect Coupler

The industrial-style quick-connect coupler allows for easy tool changes without tools, saving time and improving workflow efficiency.

Dual Pressure Gauges

Separate gauges for tank pressure and regulated output pressure provide precise control and monitoring of your air supply.

Low Amp Draw Motor

The 1.5 HP motor is designed for low amp draw, allowing operation on standard 15-amp household circuits without tripping breakers.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload tripped Check power supply, reset thermal overload, check pressure switch
Low pressure output Leaks in system, worn piston rings, clogged intake filter Check for air leaks, clean/replace intake filter, inspect piston rings
Excessive noise/vibration Loose components, worn bearings, improper mounting Tighten all fasteners, check motor bearings, ensure proper mounting
Oil in air lines Overfilled oil, worn piston rings, wrong oil type Check oil level, use correct compressor oil, inspect piston rings
Motor overheats Restricted ventilation, excessive cycling, low voltage Ensure proper ventilation, check for leaks, verify voltage
Slow recovery time Intake filter clogged, leaking check valve, worn components Clean intake filter, check valve operation, inspect wear components

Maintenance Schedule

  • Daily: Drain moisture from tank, check oil level
  • Weekly: Inspect for leaks, check belt tension (if applicable)
  • Monthly: Clean intake filter, check all fasteners
  • Every 3 Months: Change oil (or per manufacturer recommendation)
  • Every 6 Months: Inspect safety valve, check pressure switch
  • Annually: Complete system inspection, replace air filter
