Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload tripped Check power supply, reset thermal overload, check pressure switch
Low pressure output Leaks in system, worn piston rings, faulty pressure regulator Check for air leaks, inspect piston rings, adjust/replace regulator
Excessive noise/vibration Loose components, worn bearings, improper mounting Tighten all fasteners, check bearings, ensure proper installation
Oil in air lines Overfilled oil, worn piston rings, incorrect oil type Check oil level, replace piston rings, use recommended oil
Motor overheats Dirty cooling fins, low voltage, excessive cycling Clean cooling fins, check voltage supply, allow proper cool down
Slow recovery time Worn valves, leaking check valve, restricted intake Inspect and replace valves, clean air filter, check intake

Maintenance Schedule

  • Daily: Drain moisture from tank, check oil level
  • Weekly: Inspect for leaks, clean air filter
  • Monthly: Check belt tension (if applicable), inspect hoses
  • Every 3 Months: Change oil, inspect valves
  • Annually: Replace air filter, complete system inspection
  • Every 2 Years: Replace safety valve, thorough maintenance check
