Owners Manual & Installation Guide

30 Gallon Vertical Tank

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench set
  • Pipe thread sealant
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Level
  • Teflon tape

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a clean, dry, well-ventilated area with sufficient clearance for maintenance and operation.
  2. Position the Compressor: Place on a solid, level surface capable of supporting the weight (approximately 150 lbs when empty).
  3. Check Oil Level: Verify oil level is at the center of the sight glass before first use.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 15A dedicated circuit. Use appropriate gauge extension cord if needed.
  5. Air System Setup: Install air filter on intake, connect air hose to regulated outlet using appropriate fittings.
  6. Pressure Settings: Adjust pressure switch cut-in and cut-out settings according to tool requirements.
  7. Initial Test Run: Run compressor without load for 30 minutes to break in pump, then check for leaks under pressure.
Warning: Always wear safety glasses when operating or performing maintenance on air compressor. Ensure proper ventilation to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.

Key Features

ASME Certified Tank

30-gallon ASME certified tank provides ample air storage for continuous operation of multiple tools with enhanced safety standards.

Oil-Lubricated Pump

Twin-cylinder oil-lubricated pump delivers longer life, quieter operation, and better performance than oil-free models.

Thermal Overload Protection

Built-in thermal overload protection prevents motor damage from overheating during extended use or high ambient temperatures.

Dual Voltage Capability

Convertible motor allows operation on either 120V or 240V power supply for optimal performance in different workshop setups.

Integrated Pressure Gauge

Large, easy-to-read pressure gauge with color-coded zones indicates tank pressure and regulated output pressure simultaneously.

Quick-Connect Coupler

Industrial-style quick-connect air coupler accepts all standard 1/4" NPT fittings for fast tool changes without tools.

Recommended Applications

Air Tools

Ideal for impact wrenches, ratchets, drills, and sanders up to 5.5 CFM requirement

Spray Painting

Sufficient capacity for HVLP spray guns and automotive painting applications

Inflating

Perfect for tires, sports equipment, inflatable pools, and air mattresses

Cleaning

Powerful airflow for workshop cleaning, dust removal, and drying applications

Nailing/Fastening

Continuous operation for framing nailers, finish nailers, and staplers

Air Brushing

Precise pressure control suitable for detailed airbrush artwork

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload tripped Check power supply, reset thermal overload, check pressure switch settings
Low pressure output Leaks in system, worn piston rings, clogged air filter Check for leaks with soap solution, replace piston rings if needed, clean air filter
Excessive noise/vibration Loose mounting bolts, worn motor bearings, piston slap Tighten all bolts, check motor bearings, inspect piston and cylinder
Oil in air lines Overfilled oil, worn piston rings, faulty air/oil separator Drain to proper level, replace piston rings, check separator
Frequent cycling Air leaks, faulty check valve, worn pressure switch Locate and repair leaks, replace check valve, adjust pressure switch
Motor overheats Low voltage, restricted ventilation, excessive duty cycle Check voltage supply, ensure proper clearance, observe duty cycle limits

Maintenance Schedule

  • Daily: Drain moisture from tank, check oil level
  • Weekly: Inspect hoses and connections for leaks
  • Monthly: Clean air filter, check belt tension (if applicable)
  • Every 3 Months: Change compressor oil (or per hours of use)
  • Annually: Replace air filter, inspect safety valve
  • Every 2 Years: Replace pressure switch if showing wear
