Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Refrigerant charging scale
  • Torque wrench
  • Flaring tool set
  • Pipe cutter
  • Multimeter
  • Level

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm from walls and ceilings) and solid wall structure.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate securely to wall, ensuring it is perfectly level using a spirit level.
  3. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation and airtight connections.
  4. Electrical Connections: Connect power cables according to local electrical codes. Ensure proper grounding and circuit protection.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Install drain hose with proper downward slope (minimum 1/100 gradient) to ensure proper condensation drainage.
  6. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines using vacuum pump, then charge with specified amount of R32 refrigerant.
  7. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians only. Improper installation may cause equipment damage, poor performance, or safety hazards.

Key Features

Inverter Technology

Daikin's advanced inverter compressor adjusts cooling/heating output to match room requirements, providing consistent comfort while reducing energy consumption by up to 30% compared to conventional units.

Flash Streamer Technology

Advanced air purification system that decomposes allergens, bacteria, and odors, creating a healthier indoor environment by breaking down harmful substances at molecular level.

Coanda Airflow

Intelligent airflow control that spreads cool air along the ceiling in summer and warm air along the floor in winter, ensuring even temperature distribution without direct drafts.

Intelligent Eye

Energy-saving sensor detects human movement and adjusts operation accordingly. When no movement is detected for 20 minutes, it automatically switches to energy-saving mode.

Wi-Fi Control

Connect to Daikin Mobile Controller app for remote operation, scheduling, energy monitoring, and maintenance alerts from your smartphone or tablet.

Powerful Operation

Quick cooling/heating function reaches desired temperature rapidly. Powerful mode provides 20% more capacity for extreme weather conditions.

Operation Modes Explained

Auto Mode

Automatically selects cooling or heating based on room temperature for optimal comfort

Cooling Mode

Standard air conditioning operation with adjustable temperature and fan speed

Heating Mode

Efficient heat pump operation with automatic defrost cycle for winter use

Dry Mode

Dehumidifies air without excessive cooling, ideal for humid conditions

Fan Mode

Circulates air without cooling or heating, with multiple fan speed options

Night Mode

Quiet operation with gradual temperature adjustment for comfortable sleep

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not starting Power outage, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, outdoor unit obstructed Clean filters, clear obstructions, check for leaks, ensure outdoor unit clearance
Water dripping indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, dirty evaporator Clear drain pipe, ensure proper slope, clean evaporator coil
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration from mounting Tighten all components, clear debris, check mounting stability
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan, stagnant water Clean/replace filters, disinfect drain pan, ensure proper drainage
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, sensor issues Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check remote sensor

Error Codes

  • U0: Refrigerant shortage - Check for leaks and charge refrigerant
  • U2: Low voltage - Check power supply and wiring
  • U4: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • H9: Outdoor temperature sensor error - Replace sensor
  • P1: Fan motor overload - Check fan operation and clear obstructions
  • E5/E6: Indoor unit communication error - Check PCB connections
  • F3: PCB malfunction - Contact service center
