Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigeration gauge manifold
  • Vacuum pump
  • Torque wrench
  • Pipe cutter and flaring tool
  • Multimeter
  • Level
  • Drill with core bit

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm from walls and ceiling) on a solid wall that can support the unit's weight.
  2. Install Wall Bracket: Securely mount the outdoor unit bracket using appropriate anchors for your wall type.
  3. Prepare Refrigerant Pipes: Cut copper pipes to required length, deburr ends, and flare connections to proper specifications.
  4. Connect Piping: Connect refrigerant pipes between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring all connections are tight and leak-free.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect power cables according to local electrical codes. Ensure proper grounding and correct voltage (220-240V, 50Hz).
  6. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate the system using a vacuum pump for at least 15 minutes, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  7. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians only. Improper installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Key Features

Inverter Technology

Daikin's advanced inverter compressor adjusts power output to match cooling/heating demand, providing consistent temperature control while reducing energy consumption by up to 30%.

Flash Streamer Technology

Advanced air purification system that breaks down and removes allergens, odors, and bacteria from indoor air, creating a healthier living environment.

Coanda Airflow

Intelligent airflow control that spreads cool air along the ceiling for even temperature distribution without direct drafts on occupants.

Powerful Operation

Quick cooling and heating capability that reaches desired temperature 30% faster than conventional units, with operation down to -15°C outdoor temperature.

Wi-Fi Control

Connect to Daikin mobile app for remote control, scheduling, energy monitoring, and maintenance alerts from your smartphone.

Quiet Operation

Ultra-quiet performance as low as 19 dB indoors - quieter than a whisper - thanks to advanced sound-dampening technology and optimized fan design.

Operation Modes Explained

Cool Mode

Standard cooling operation with adjustable temperature (16-30°C) and fan speed settings

Heat Mode

Heating operation with efficient heat pump technology for winter comfort

Dry Mode

Dehumidification function that removes excess moisture while maintaining comfortable temperature

Fan Mode

Air circulation only without cooling or heating, with multiple fan speed options

Auto Mode

Intelligent mode that automatically selects cooling or heating based on room temperature

Night Mode

Quiet operation with gradual temperature adjustment for undisturbed sleep

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power outage, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, incorrect temperature setting Clean filters, clear obstructions, set appropriate temperature
Water dripping indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, ice buildup Tighten components, clean fan blades, check for ice formation
Remote not working Batteries dead, signal blocked, sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check sensor window
Frequent cycling Dirty filters, thermostat location, oversized unit Clean filters, relocate thermostat, consult technician

Error Codes

  • U0: Refrigerant shortage - Check for leaks and charge properly
  • U2: Low voltage - Check power supply and connections
  • U4: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • H9: Outdoor temperature sensor error - Replace sensor
  • P1: Fan motor error - Check fan motor and connections
  • E5/E6: Indoor temperature sensor error - Replace sensor
  • F3: Discharge pipe temperature error - Check compressor and piping
