Inverter Split System

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Refrigerant charging scale
  • Tube cutter and flaring tool
  • Torque wrench
  • Multimeter
  • Level
  • Drill with core bit

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm from walls and ceiling) on a solid wall that can support unit weight.
  2. Install Wall Bracket: Securely mount the outdoor unit bracket using appropriate anchors for wall type.
  3. Mount Indoor Unit: Install indoor unit mounting plate level on wall, ensuring proper drainage slope.
  4. Drill Refrigerant Pipe Hole: Drill 65mm hole through wall with outward downward slope for drainage.
  5. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units using flare connections with proper torque.
  6. Connect Drain Pipe: Install drain pipe with continuous downward slope to proper drainage point.
  7. Electrical Connection: Connect power cables according to local electrical codes and unit specifications.
  8. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold for 15 minutes, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  9. Test Operation: Run system in cooling and heating modes to verify proper operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians only. Incorrect installation may cause injury, property damage, or void warranty.

Key Features

Inverter Technology

Daikin's advanced inverter compressor adjusts speed to maintain precise temperature control, reducing energy consumption by up to 30% compared to conventional systems.

Coanda Airflow

Patented airflow technology distributes air evenly throughout the room by following the ceiling surface, eliminating cold spots and drafts.

Flash Streamer Technology

Advanced air purification system breaks down allergens, odors, and bacteria at molecular level, providing cleaner, healthier indoor air.

Intelligent Eye

Human detection sensor automatically adjusts operation when no movement is detected for energy savings, then resumes normal operation when movement returns.

Daikin Cloud Connectivity

Wi-Fi enabled for remote control via smartphone app, allowing scheduling, monitoring, and control from anywhere with internet access.

Powerful Operation

Quick cooling and heating capability reaches desired temperature faster than conventional systems, with efficient operation even at extreme temperatures.

Operation Modes Explained

Cooling Mode

Standard air conditioning operation for hot weather, with adjustable temperature and fan speed settings

Heating Mode

Heat pump operation for cold weather, efficient heating even at low outdoor temperatures

Dry Mode

Dehumidification without excessive cooling, ideal for humid conditions

Fan Mode

Air circulation without cooling or heating, with adjustable fan speeds

Auto Mode

Automatic selection of cooling or heating based on room temperature

Night Mode

Quiet operation with gradual temperature adjustment for comfortable sleep

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not starting Power failure, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak Clean filters, clear obstructions, contact technician for leak check
Water dripping indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, ice formation Tighten mounting, clear debris, check for ice buildup
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan Clean filters and drain pan, use air purification mode
Remote not working Battery issue, signal obstruction, sensor problem Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check sensor window

Error Codes

  • U0: Refrigerant shortage - Check for leaks and charge properly
  • U2: Low voltage - Check power supply and wiring
  • U4: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • H9: Outdoor temperature sensor error - Replace sensor
  • E5/E6: Indoor unit communication error - Check PCB connections
  • F3: Discharge pipe temperature error - Check compressor and sensors
  • P1: Fan motor error - Check fan motor and bearings
