Step-by-Step Installation
- Site Selection: Choose appropriate location for outdoor unit with proper clearance and indoor unit with accessible ductwork connections.
- Mounting: Securely mount outdoor unit on concrete pad or brackets, ensuring level installation with vibration isolators.
- Refrigerant Piping: Install refrigerant lines with proper insulation, ensuring correct pipe sizing and flare connections.
- Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper disconnect switch and grounding according to local electrical codes.
- Ductwork Connection: Connect supply and return ducts to indoor unit, ensuring proper sealing and insulation.
- Drain Line Installation: Install condensate drain line with proper slope and trap to ensure proper drainage.
- Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to proper vacuum level and charge with specified refrigerant amount.
- System Test: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and thermostat operation.
