Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Roof mounting kit
- Sealant (non-hardening type)
- Drill with hole saw attachment
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
- Wire strippers/crimpers
- Multimeter
Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a flat, reinforced section of the caravan roof with adequate structural support and clearance from vents.
- Prepare Roof Opening: Mark and cut the roof opening according to the template provided in the installation kit.
- Install Roof Curb: Apply sealant to the roof curb and secure it to the roof using appropriate fasteners.
- Mount AC Unit: Lift the air conditioner onto the roof curb and secure it with the provided mounting hardware.
- Electrical Connection: Connect to the caravan's 12V/24V DC system and 230V AC shore power with proper circuit protection.
- Ductwork Installation: Connect and seal ductwork to distribute cool air throughout the caravan interior.
- Test System: Test all functions including cooling, heating (if equipped), fan speeds, and thermostat operation.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| AC unit won't start | Power supply issue, thermostat setting, safety switch | Check power connections, verify thermostat settings, reset safety switch |
| Poor cooling performance | Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked condenser | Clean filters, check for leaks, clear condenser area |
| Water leakage inside | Clogged drain line, improper installation angle | Clear drain line, ensure proper roof seal and angle |
| Unusual noises | Loose components, debris in fan, worn bearings | Tighten mounting hardware, clear debris, check fan assembly |
| Fan runs but no cooling | Compressor issue, refrigerant leak, electrical fault | Check compressor operation, look for leaks, verify electrical connections |
| Unit cycles on/off frequently | Dirty filters, thermostat location, over/undersized unit | Clean filters, relocate thermostat if in direct sunlight |
Error Codes
- E1: Room temperature sensor fault - Check sensor connection
- E2: Condenser temperature sensor fault - Check sensor
- E3: Compressor overload - Allow unit to cool, check voltage
- E4: Low refrigerant pressure - Check for leaks
- E5: High pressure fault - Clean condenser, check fan
- E6: Communication error - Check control board connections
