Wall Mounted Split System

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Torque wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe cutter and flaring tool
  • Leak detector

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location on a solid wall with proper clearance (at least 15cm from ceiling and 30cm from side walls).
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors for your wall type.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: Drill a 65mm hole through the wall for refrigerant pipes and drainage, ensuring a slight downward slope for drainage.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation and flare connections.
  5. Connect Electrical Wiring: Connect power and communication cables according to wiring diagram. Ensure proper grounding.
  6. Connect Drainage Hose: Route the drainage hose with continuous downward slope to proper drainage point.
  7. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines using vacuum pump, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  8. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians only. Improper installation can cause equipment damage, reduced efficiency, and void warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power issue, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, incorrect temperature setting Clean filters, clear obstructions, set appropriate temperature
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper downward slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, ice buildup Tighten components, clean fan blades, check for ice formation
Foul odor Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan Clean filters and drain pan, use auto clean function
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, distance too far Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, stay within 7 meters

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Pipe temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E3: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • E4: High pressure protection - Check for blocked condenser or fan failure
  • E5: Low pressure protection - Check for refrigerant leak or expansion valve
  • E6: Compressor overload - Allow unit to cool down, check voltage
  • E7: Fan motor failure - Check fan motor and connections
  • E8: Water full protection - Empty drain pan, check drain pipe
