Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Adjustable wrench set
- Air pressure gauge
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
- Teflon tape for pipe threads
- Level
- Safety glasses
Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a well-ventilated area with adequate clearance (minimum 12 inches) on all sides on a solid, level concrete floor.
- Unpack and Inspect: Remove all packaging materials and inspect for shipping damage. Check oil level if oil-lubricated model.
- Electrical Connection: Connect to appropriate power supply (check voltage requirements). Industrial models may require 220V dedicated circuit with proper grounding.
- Air System Setup: Install air filter on intake, connect air hose to outlet using Teflon tape on threads. Ensure all connections are tight.
- Pressure Settings: Set pressure switch to desired operating pressure. Never exceed maximum PSI rating of the compressor.
- Drain Installation: Install automatic drain valve or ensure manual drain valve is accessible for daily water removal.
- Initial Test Run: Run compressor without load for 10 minutes to check for proper operation, leaks, and unusual noises.

Low Amp Draw
Efficient motor design with low amp draw reduces electrical consumption and allows operation on standard household circuits.
Quick Recovery Time
Fast pump recovery maintains consistent air pressure for continuous tool operation without performance drops.
Compressor Technology Explained
Single Stage
Direct compression to final pressure, ideal for pressures up to 150 PSI for general workshop use
Two Stage
Two compression cycles for higher efficiency and pressures up to 175 PSI for industrial applications
Rotary Screw
Continuous air delivery with 100% duty cycle for manufacturing and automotive applications
Oil-Free
Clean air technology with Teflon-coated cylinders for applications requiring contaminant-free air
Vertical Tank
Space-saving design with vertical tank configuration for workshops with limited floor space
Portable
Wheeled units with handle for job site mobility and temporary installation requirements
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Compressor won't start | Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload tripped | Check power supply, reset thermal overload, check pressure switch settings |
| Low pressure output | Air leaks, worn piston rings, intake filter clogged | Check for leaks with soap solution, replace piston rings, clean/replace air filter |
| Excessive noise/vibration | Loose components, worn bearings, improper mounting | Tighten all bolts and fittings, check motor bearings, ensure proper mounting |
| Overheating | Dirty cooling fins, low oil, restricted ventilation | Clean cooling fins, check oil level, ensure adequate ventilation space |
| Frequent cycling | Air leaks, faulty pressure switch, tank check valve leaking | Locate and repair leaks, adjust/replace pressure switch, replace check valve |
| Oil in air lines | Overfilled oil, worn piston rings, wrong oil type | Drain to proper level, replace piston rings, use recommended compressor oil |
Maintenance Codes & Indicators
