Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Refrigerant gauge manifold
  • Vacuum pump
  • Torque wrench
  • Level
  • Pipe cutter
  • Flaring tool
  • Leak detector

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Selection: Choose a location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm from walls), away from heat sources, and with adequate drainage.
  2. Mounting Bracket Installation: Securely mount the outdoor unit bracket to a solid wall using appropriate anchors and ensure it's perfectly level.
  3. Wall Penetration: Drill a 70mm hole through the wall at a slight downward angle (indoor to outdoor) for drainage.
  4. Refrigerant Line Connection: Connect copper refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units using flare fittings. Ensure connections are tight and properly sealed.
  5. Electrical Wiring: Connect power cables according to local electrical codes. Use dedicated circuit with proper grounding.
  6. Drainage System: Install drain hose with proper slope (minimum 1cm per meter) to ensure water flows away from the unit.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate the system using a vacuum pump for at least 15 minutes, then charge with the specified amount of refrigerant.
  8. Test Run: Run the system through all modes to check for proper operation, cooling/heating performance, and any leaks.
Warning: Air conditioner installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. Improper installation can cause equipment damage, reduced efficiency, and safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power outage, tripped breaker, remote control issue Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear obstructions
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain line, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration Tighten mounting, clear debris, check installation stability
Frozen coils Dirty filters, low refrigerant, restricted airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant level, ensure proper airflow
Frequent cycling Oversized unit, thermostat issues, dirty coils Check unit sizing, calibrate thermostat, clean evaporator coils
