Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload Check power supply, reset thermal overload, check pressure switch
Low pressure output Air leaks, worn piston rings, clogged intake filter Check for leaks, clean intake filter, inspect piston rings
Excessive noise Loose components, worn bearings, piston slap Tighten all fasteners, check bearings, inspect piston assembly
Air leaks Loose fittings, damaged hose, faulty check valve Tighten all connections, replace damaged hose, check valve
Overheating Dirty cooling fins, low oil (if applicable), continuous operation Clean cooling fins, check oil level, allow proper cool-down
Moisture in air lines High humidity, inadequate draining, missing air dryer Drain tank regularly, install air dryer, use moisture trap
