Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench set
  • Pipe wrench
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Teflon tape
  • Level
  • Pressure gauge

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a well-ventilated area with solid, level concrete flooring and adequate clearance for maintenance.
  2. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all packaging materials and inspect for shipping damage. Check all components against packing list.
  3. Position the Compressor: Place compressor on a level surface. Use vibration pads if installing on concrete floor.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 240V, 60Hz circuit with proper grounding. Consult local electrical codes.
  5. Air System Setup: Install air filter on intake, connect air lines using Teflon tape on threaded connections.
  6. Drain Installation: Connect drain line to tank drain valve and route to appropriate drainage location.
  7. Pressure Settings: Set cut-in and cut-out pressures according to requirements. Factory setting is 135-175 PSI.
  8. Initial Startup: Fill with recommended compressor oil, check all connections, and perform initial test run.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel. Ensure proper ventilation and follow all safety guidelines.

Key Features

Two-Stage Pump System

Dual-stage compression provides higher efficiency and cooler operation, delivering more air with less energy consumption and extended pump life.

Cast Iron Construction

Heavy-duty cast iron pump and components ensure durability, better heat dissipation, and longer service life under continuous operation.

ASME Certified Tank

80-gallon ASME certified tank with lifetime warranty provides substantial air storage for multiple tool operation and reduced cycling.

Magnetic Starter

Industrial-grade magnetic starter with overload protection ensures reliable motor starting and protection against voltage fluctuations.

Low Oil Shutdown

Automatic shutdown system protects the pump from damage by stopping operation when oil level falls below safe minimum.

Thermal Overload Protection

Built-in thermal protection prevents motor damage from overheating during extended operation or high ambient temperatures.

Control Panel Features

Pressure Gauge

Dual gauges display tank pressure and regulated output pressure for precise tool operation

Pressure Switch

Adjustable pressure switch with automatic cut-in/cut-out for consistent pressure maintenance

Safety Valve

ASME certified pressure relief valve automatically releases pressure if exceeds maximum setting

Drain Valve

Easy-access ball valve for daily moisture drainage to prevent tank corrosion

Regulator Control

Precise pressure regulation knob for adjusting output pressure to tool requirements

On/Off Switch

Heavy-duty switch with safety lockout feature for secure operation

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload tripped Check power supply, reset thermal overload, inspect pressure switch
Low pressure output Air leaks, worn rings, intake filter clogged Check for leaks, inspect piston rings, clean/replace air filter
Excessive cycling Air leaks, check valve leaking, pressure switch setting Locate and repair leaks, check valve operation, adjust pressure switch
Overheating Dirty cooling fins, low oil, restricted ventilation Clean cooling fins, check oil level, ensure adequate ventilation
Excessive noise/vibration Loose components, worn bearings, improper mounting Tighten all fasteners, check bearings, ensure proper installation
Oil in air lines Worn piston rings, overfilled oil, wrong oil type Inspect rings, drain excess oil, use recommended compressor oil

Maintenance Schedule

  • Daily: Drain moisture from tank, check oil level
  • Weekly: Inspect for leaks, check belt tension
  • Monthly: Clean intake filter, check safety valve
  • Quarterly: Change compressor oil, inspect valves
  • Annually: Complete system inspection, replace air filter
  • As Needed: Check and tighten all fasteners
