Portable Air Compressor

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Air pressure gauge
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Tape measure

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a clean, dry, well-ventilated area with adequate space around the compressor for proper airflow.
  2. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all packaging materials and inspect the compressor for any shipping damage.
  3. Position the Compressor: Place on a flat, level surface that can support the weight of the compressor when fully loaded.
  4. Check Oil Level: Verify the oil level is at the proper mark on the sight glass before first use.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 15A, AC only outlet. Use a dedicated circuit if possible.
  6. Connect Air Hose: Attach air hose to the quick-connect coupler using appropriate thread sealant.
  7. Pressure Settings: Set the pressure regulator to desired output pressure (typically 90-120 PSI for most tools).
  8. Initial Run: Run the compressor without load for 10-15 minutes to break in the pump.
Warning: Always wear safety glasses when operating the air compressor. Ensure all connections are secure before pressurizing the system.

Key Features

ASME Certified Tank

20-gallon ASME certified air tank provides ample air storage for continuous tool operation with reduced motor cycling.

Oil-Lubricated Pump

Durable oil-lubricated pump design ensures longer life, better heat dissipation, and quieter operation compared to oil-free models.

Thermal Overload Protection

Built-in thermal overload protection automatically shuts off the motor if it overheats, preventing damage and ensuring safety.

Quick-Release Coupler

Industrial-style quick-release air coupler allows for fast, secure connection of air tools without tools or wrenches.

Pressure Regulator with Gauge

Precise pressure regulator with easy-to-read gauge allows you to dial in exact pressure for each specific tool or application.

Portable Design

Heavy-duty wheels and folding handle make it easy to move the compressor around your workshop or job site.

Recommended Applications

Nail Guns

Ideal for framing, finish, and brad nailers (70-120 PSI)

Impact Wrenches

Powerful enough for automotive and construction impact tools

Spray Painting

Consistent pressure for HVLP and conventional spray guns

Air Ratchets

Perfect for mechanical work and automotive repair

Inflating

Tires, sports equipment, inflatable toys and pools

Cleaning

Blow guns for workshop cleaning and debris removal

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload Check power supply, reset thermal overload, check pressure switch
Low pressure output Leaking fittings, worn pump rings, clogged intake filter Check for leaks, clean/replace intake filter, inspect pump
Excessive cycling Air leaks, faulty check valve, worn pump Check for leaks, test check valve, inspect pump components
Oil in air lines Overfilled oil, worn piston rings Check oil level, replace piston rings if necessary
Unusual noises Loose components, worn bearings, lack of lubrication Tighten all fasteners, check bearings, ensure proper oil level
Motor overheating Restricted airflow, low voltage, excessive cycling Clean cooling fins, check voltage supply, reduce load demand

Maintenance Schedule

  • Daily: Drain moisture from tank, check oil level
  • Weekly: Check for air leaks, clean intake filter
  • Monthly: Inspect hoses and fittings, check belt tension
  • Every 3 Months: Change oil (or per manufacturer recommendation)
  • Annually: Inspect safety valve, check pump components
  • As Needed: Replace air filter, check valve, pressure switch
