Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench set
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe wrench
  • Level
  • Teflon tape

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a clean, dry, well-ventilated area with adequate space for maintenance access and proper air circulation.
  2. Prepare Foundation: Ensure the compressor is placed on a solid, level concrete floor capable of supporting the unit's weight.
  3. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 230V, 60Hz, single-phase circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes.
  4. Air System Connection: Install proper air lines using recommended piping materials. Include a shut-off valve near the compressor.
  5. Drain Installation: Connect the automatic tank drain to a suitable drain line or collection system.
  6. Check Oil Level: Verify the compressor oil is at the proper level before initial startup.
  7. Initial Startup: Open all air outlet valves, start the compressor, and check for proper operation and any leaks.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with all local codes and regulations. Ensure proper ventilation to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.

Key Features

Two-Stage Pump Design

The two-stage pump provides higher efficiency and cooler operation by compressing air in two steps, resulting in longer pump life and reduced maintenance.

Intellisys Control System

Advanced microprocessor control monitors system performance and adjusts operation for optimal efficiency, providing protection against overload and overheating.

ASME Certified Tank

The 80-gallon ASME certified air tank meets rigorous safety standards and includes a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Oil-Lubricated Pump

Full pressure lubrication system ensures maximum pump life and reliability, with easy-access oil fill and sight glass for simple maintenance.

Thermal Overload Protection

Built-in thermal protection prevents motor damage from overheating, automatically shutting down the compressor if temperatures exceed safe limits.

Low Oil Shutdown

Automatic shutdown feature protects the pump from damage if oil level falls below minimum operating requirements.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload tripped Check power supply, reset thermal overload, inspect pressure switch
Low air pressure Air leaks, intake filter clogged, pump wear Check for leaks, clean/replace intake filter, inspect pump valves
Excessive noise/vibration Loose components, worn bearings, improper mounting Tighten all fasteners, check bearings, ensure proper installation
Overheating Dirty cooling fins, low oil, restricted ventilation Clean cooling surfaces, check oil level, improve ventilation
Oil in air lines Worn piston rings, overfilled oil, wrong oil type Check piston rings, drain excess oil, use recommended oil
Frequent cycling Air leaks, undersized tank, faulty pressure switch Repair leaks, check tank capacity, adjust/replace pressure switch

Error Codes & Indicators

  • OL (Overload): Motor overload - Allow to cool, check ventilation
  • LO (Low Oil): Oil level low - Check and add recommended oil
  • HT (High Temp): System overheating - Check cooling system and ventilation
  • PS (Pressure Switch): Pressure switch fault - Inspect and replace if necessary
  • PF (Power Fault): Electrical issue - Check power supply and connections
  • CF (Control Fault): Control system error - Reset system or contact service
