Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench set
  • Pipe thread sealant
  • Air pressure gauge
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Location: Choose a clean, dry, well-ventilated area with sufficient clearance for maintenance and operation.
  2. Prepare Foundation: Ensure a solid, level concrete foundation to minimize vibration and ensure proper operation.
  3. Electrical Connection: Connect to appropriate power supply as specified in electrical requirements. Ensure proper grounding.
  4. Air System Connection: Install air lines using proper fittings and thread sealant. Include a shut-off valve near compressor.
  5. Drain Installation: Connect condensate drain line to appropriate drainage system according to local codes.
  6. Check Oil Level: Verify proper oil level in compressor crankcase before initial startup.
  7. Initial Startup: Perform initial startup following manufacturer's break-in procedure and check for leaks.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel following all local codes and regulations. Ensure proper ventilation to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.

Key Features

Two-Stage Compression

Delivers higher efficiency and cooler operation by compressing air in two stages with intercooling between stages for reduced moisture and increased durability.

Iron Cylinder Sleeves

Durable iron cylinder sleeves provide superior heat dissipation and extended service life compared to aluminum cylinders.

Pressure Lubricated Pump

Full pressure lubrication system ensures proper oil distribution to all critical components for reduced wear and extended pump life.

ASME Certified Tank

60-gallon ASME certified air tank with lifetime warranty provides reliable air storage with maximum safety standards.

Thermal Overload Protection

Built-in thermal overload protection prevents motor damage from overheating during extended operation or high ambient temperatures.

Low Oil Shutdown

Automatic shutdown feature protects the compressor pump from damage when oil level falls below minimum operating level.

Pressure switch with automatic start/stop and unloader valve

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload Check power supply, reset thermal overload, inspect pressure switch
Low air pressure Air leaks, worn valves, intake filter clogged Check for leaks, inspect valves, clean or replace air filter
Excessive noise/vibration Loose components, worn bearings, improper mounting Tighten all fasteners, check bearings, ensure proper foundation
Overheating Dirty cooling fins, low oil, high ambient temperature Clean cooling surfaces, check oil level, improve ventilation
Excessive moisture in air Faulty aftercooler, high humidity, drain valve issues Check aftercooler, install additional dryer, repair drain valve
Frequent cycling Air leaks, worn check valve, undersized tank Locate and repair leaks, replace check valve, verify application requirements

Maintenance Codes & Indicators

  • Red Oil Light: Low oil pressure - Check oil level and pump immediately
  • Thermal Overload Tripped: Motor overheated - Allow cool down and reset
  • High Temperature Shutdown: System overheated - Check cooling system and ventilation
  • Pressure Switch Failure: Won't start/stop properly - Inspect and replace pressure switch
  • Check Valve Leakage: Tank pressure drops rapidly - Replace check valve
  • Belt Slippage: Reduced performance - Adjust or replace drive belts
