Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench set
  • Socket set
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Level
  • Pipe thread sealant
  • Air pressure gauge

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a clean, dry, well-ventilated area with adequate clearance for maintenance access and airflow.
  2. Prepare Foundation: Ensure a solid, level concrete foundation capable of supporting the compressor's weight and vibration.
  3. Uncrate and Position: Remove all shipping materials and position the compressor using proper lifting equipment.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to appropriate power supply (see specifications). All wiring must comply with local electrical codes.
  5. Air System Connection: Install proper air lines using recommended pipe size. Include shut-off valves and moisture traps.
  6. Oil Check: Verify proper oil level in crankcase before initial startup.
  7. Pressure Settings: Set cut-in and cut-out pressures according to application requirements.
  8. Initial Run Test: Run compressor through complete cycle to check for leaks, proper operation, and correct pressure settings.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel following all local codes and regulations. Ensure proper ventilation to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.

Key Features

Two-Stage Compression

Delivers higher efficiency and cooler operation by compressing air in two stages with intercooling between stages for reduced moisture and increased durability.

ASME Certified Tank

Heavy-duty 80-gallon ASME coded air receiver tank with corrosion-resistant interior coating and large drain valve for easy maintenance.

Intellisys Controller

Advanced microprocessor controller monitors system performance, provides diagnostic information, and optimizes compressor operation for energy savings.

Pressure Lubricated Pump

Full pressure lubrication system ensures proper oil flow to all critical components, extending pump life and reducing maintenance requirements.

Thermal By-Pass Valve

Protects the pump during startup by allowing the compressor to start unloaded, reducing electrical demand and mechanical stress.

Heavy-Duty Construction

Cast iron cylinders, forged steel crankshaft, and oversized bearings provide exceptional durability for continuous duty applications.

Control System Features

Auto/Stop Control

Automatic start-stop operation based on air demand with manual override capability

Dual Pressure Control

Independent adjustment of cut-in and cut-out pressures for optimal performance

Diagnostic Display

LED display shows operating hours, pressure, temperature, and error codes

Motor Protection

Built-in overload protection with automatic reset and phase monitoring

Maintenance Alerts

Automatic alerts for required maintenance including oil changes and filter replacement

Energy Saving Mode

Automatic shutdown during extended periods of no air demand

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload Check power supply, verify pressure switch settings, reset overload protector
Low air pressure Air leaks, worn valves, intake filter clogged Check for leaks, inspect valve plates, clean or replace air filter
Excessive noise/vibration Loose components, worn bearings, improper mounting Tighten all fasteners, check bearings, verify proper installation
Overheating Dirty cooling fins, low oil, restricted airflow Clean cooling surfaces, check oil level, ensure adequate ventilation
Excessive oil consumption Worn rings, leaking gaskets, overfilling Check compression, inspect for leaks, verify proper oil level
Water in air lines Faulty aftercooler, inadequate drainage, high humidity Check aftercooler function, drain tank regularly, install air dryer

Error Codes

  • E01: High temperature - Check oil level and cooling system
  • E02: Low pressure - Check for leaks and pump condition
  • E03: Motor overload - Check electrical supply and motor condition
  • E04: Phase loss - Check three-phase power connection
  • E05: Sensor fault - Check pressure/temperature sensors
  • E06: Controller error - Reset controller or contact service
