User Manual & Installation Guide

55 HP Rotary Screw Compressor

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrenches
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe wrench
  • Electrical test equipment
  • Lifting equipment (for heavy components)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Preparation: Select a clean, dry, well-ventilated location with adequate space for maintenance access and proper airflow.
  2. Foundation Requirements: Install on a solid, level concrete foundation capable of supporting the compressor's weight (approximately 1800 kg).
  3. Electrical Connection: Connect to appropriate power supply (see specifications). All electrical work must be performed by a qualified electrician.
  4. Air System Connection: Install proper air piping with minimum pressure drop. Include isolation valves, check valve, and aftercooler if required.
  5. Cooling System: Ensure adequate ventilation and cooling air flow. Connect water cooling lines if using water-cooled model.
  6. Oil System Check: Verify proper oil level and install oil drain line if required for extended operation.
  7. Initial Startup: Perform pre-start checks, then initiate startup sequence following manufacturer's procedures.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel familiar with compressed air systems and electrical safety standards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, emergency stop engaged, control fault Check power supply, reset emergency stop, check control panel for faults
Low air pressure Air leaks, clogged filter, system demand exceeds capacity Check for leaks, replace air filter, verify system demand
High operating temperature Dirty cooler, low oil level, ambient temperature too high Clean cooler fins, check oil level, improve ventilation
Excessive vibration Loose mounting, worn coupling, bearing wear Check mounting bolts, inspect coupling and bearings
Oil consumption high Oil leaks, worn seals, improper oil return Check for leaks, inspect seals, verify oil return system
Frequent unloading Air leaks, control setting incorrect, small receiver Fix leaks, adjust pressure settings, check receiver size

Error Codes

  • E01: High Temperature - Check cooling system and oil level
  • E02: Low Oil Pressure - Check oil level and pressure switch
  • E03: Motor Overload - Check electrical connections and load
  • E04: Phase Loss/Imbalance - Check power supply and connections
  • E05: Sensor Fault - Check temperature/pressure sensors
  • E06: Communication Error - Check control wiring and modules
