Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench set
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe wrench
  • Tape measure
  • Air pressure gauge

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a clean, dry, well-ventilated location with adequate space for maintenance access and proper airflow.
  2. Foundation Preparation: Place on a solid, level concrete floor capable of supporting the compressor's weight and vibration.
  3. Electrical Connection: Connect to proper power supply according to model specifications. All wiring must comply with local electrical codes.
  4. Air System Connection: Install proper air lines with minimum pressure drop. Include shut-off valve, drain leg, and pressure regulator.
  5. Check Oil Level: Verify proper oil level in sight glass before initial startup.
  6. Pressure Settings: Adjust pressure switch cut-in and cut-out settings according to application requirements.
  7. Test Run: Run compressor through complete cycle to check for leaks, proper operation, and correct pressure buildup.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel. Ensure proper ventilation and follow all safety guidelines to prevent injury or equipment damage.

Key Features

Two-Stage Compression

Delivers higher efficiency and cooler operation by compressing air in two stages with intercooling between stages for improved performance and durability.

Iron Cylinder Sleeves

Durable cast iron cylinder sleeves provide superior heat dissipation and extended service life compared to aluminum designs.

Pressure Lubrication System

Full pressure lubrication ensures proper oil distribution to all moving parts, reducing wear and extending component life.

ASME Certified Tanks

All tanks meet ASME safety standards and include lifetime limited warranty for maximum safety and reliability.

Thermal Overload Protection

Built-in thermal overload protection prevents motor damage from overheating during extended operation or high ambient temperatures.

Low Oil Protection

Automatic shutdown when oil level drops below safe operating minimum prevents catastrophic pump failure.

Type 30 Technology Explained

Dual Pressure Control

Separate pressure switches for loaded and unloaded operation optimize efficiency and reduce cycling

Intercooling System

Between-stage cooling reduces air temperature and moisture content for better efficiency

Heavy-Duty Valves

Stainless steel valves with precision machining for reliable operation and easy maintenance

Vibration Isolation

Rubber isolation mounts reduce noise transmission and prevent vibration damage to foundation

Automatic Tank Drain

Optional automatic tank drain removes condensate without manual intervention

Easy Access Panels

Removable side panels provide quick access to components for routine maintenance

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload tripped Check power supply, reset overload, verify pressure switch operation
Low air pressure output Air leaks, worn valves, intake filter clogged Check for leaks, inspect valves, clean or replace air filter
Excessive noise/vibration Loose mounting, worn bearings, piston slap Tighten mounting bolts, check bearings, inspect piston clearance
Overheating Dirty cooling fins, high ambient temperature, restricted airflow Clean cooling surfaces, improve ventilation, check fan operation
Excessive oil consumption Worn rings, leaking gaskets, overfilling Check compression, inspect for leaks, verify proper oil level
Frequent cycling Air leaks, faulty check valve, undersized tank Locate and repair leaks, replace check valve, verify system demand

Common Error Indicators

  • Red Oil Light: Low oil pressure - Check oil level and pump
  • Thermal Overload Trip: Motor overheating - Allow cool down, check ventilation
  • High Temperature Shutdown: System overheating - Clean cooling surfaces, check thermostat
  • Pressure Switch Failure: No pressure control - Replace pressure switch assembly
  • Unloader Valve Stuck: Hard starting - Clean or replace unloader valve
  • Check Valve Leak: Tank pressure drops - Replace check valve
