Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench set
  • Pipe thread sealant
  • Air pressure gauge
  • Level
  • Voltage tester
  • Foundation bolts

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Location: Choose a clean, dry, well-ventilated area with adequate space for maintenance access and proper air circulation.
  2. Foundation Preparation: Ensure solid, level concrete foundation capable of supporting compressor weight and vibration.
  3. Electrical Connection: Connect to proper power supply per local electrical codes. Most models require 3-phase power connection.
  4. Air System Piping: Install proper size piping with drip legs and shutoff valves. Use thread sealant on all connections.
  5. Oil Check: Verify proper oil level in compressor crankcase before initial startup.
  6. Pressure Settings: Set cut-in and cut-out pressures according to application requirements.
  7. Initial Startup: Run compressor unloaded for 30 minutes to circulate oil and check for leaks.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel following all local codes and regulations. Improper installation voids warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload Check power supply, reset overloads, verify pressure switch setting
Low pressure output Air leaks, clogged filters, worn valves Check for leaks, replace air/oil filters, inspect discharge valves
Excessive noise/vibration Loose mounting, worn bearings, improper alignment Tighten mounting bolts, check motor/compressor alignment
High operating temperature Dirty cooler, low oil, restricted airflow Clean cooler fins, check oil level, ensure proper ventilation
Excessive oil consumption Worn seals, overfilling, wrong oil type Check oil separator, verify proper oil level, use recommended oil
Frequent cycling Air leaks, oversized compressor, control setting issues Locate and repair leaks, adjust pressure settings, check controls

Error Codes

  • E01: High Temperature - Check cooling system and oil level
  • E02: Low Oil Pressure - Check oil level and pressure switch
  • E03: Motor Overload - Reset overloads, check electrical connections
  • E04: Phase Loss/Imbalance - Check power supply and connections
  • E05: Sensor Failure - Check temperature/pressure sensors
  • E06: Communication Error - Check control wiring and connections
