Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with various bits
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe cutter
  • Vacuum pump
  • Manifold gauge set
  • Tape measure
  • Torque wrench

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper clearance, away from heat sources, and with access to electrical and drainage connections.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate securely to wall, ensuring it is level. Hang indoor unit on mounting plate.
  3. Install Outdoor Unit: Place outdoor unit on stable, level surface with proper clearance for airflow and maintenance access.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units using proper flaring techniques and torque specifications.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to properly rated electrical circuit with dedicated breaker. Follow local electrical codes.
  6. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines using vacuum pump, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  7. Test System: Run air conditioner through complete cycle to check for proper cooling, drainage, and operation.
Warning: All installations must be performed by a qualified HVAC technician to ensure proper operation, safety, and maintain warranty coverage.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Air conditioner won't start Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling performance Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear obstructions
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain line, improper installation slope Clear drain line, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration Tighten mounting hardware, clear debris, check installation stability
Frozen coils Dirty filters, low refrigerant, restricted airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, ensure proper airflow
Frequent cycling Oversized unit, thermostat issues, dirty coils Verify proper sizing, check thermostat, clean coils

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor error - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Pipe temperature sensor error - Check sensor connection
  • E3: High pressure protection - Check for restrictions, clean condenser
  • E4: Low pressure protection - Check for leaks, refrigerant charge
  • E5: Compressor overload - Check electrical connections, allow cool-down
  • E6: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor and outdoor units
  • E7: Fan motor error - Check fan motor and connections
