Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe cutter
  • Vacuum pump
  • Manifold gauge set
  • Torque wrench

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm from walls and ceilings) and adequate structural support.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate securely on wall, ensuring it is perfectly level. Hang indoor unit on plate.
  3. Install Outdoor Unit: Place outdoor unit on stable, level surface with proper ventilation (minimum 50cm clearance on all sides).
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units using flare connections. Ensure proper insulation.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper voltage (220-240V, 50Hz). Follow local electrical codes.
  6. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines using vacuum pump, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  7. Test Run: Run the air conditioner in cooling and heating modes to check for proper operation and refrigerant leaks.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. DIY installation voids warranty and may be dangerous.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit won't start Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, outdoor unit blocked Clean filters, check for refrigerant leaks, clear outdoor unit area
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation angle Clear drain pipe, ensure proper installation slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration Tighten mounting, clear debris, check installation stability
Frozen indoor unit Dirty filters, low refrigerant, fan motor issue Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, inspect fan motor
Error code displayed System malfunction, sensor failure Refer to error code chart, contact service if persistent

Common Error Codes

  • P1: Voltage problem - Check power supply and voltage
  • P8: High pressure protection - Check outdoor unit ventilation
  • P9: Low pressure protection - Check refrigerant charge
  • E1: Indoor PCB error - Contact service center
  • E6: Communication error - Check wiring between units
  • F3: Discharge pipe temperature error - Check sensors
  • H1: Defrosting operation - Normal operation in heating mode
