Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload Check power supply, reset thermal overload, check pressure switch
Low pressure output Air leak, clogged filter, worn piston rings Check for leaks, clean air filter, inspect piston rings
Excessive noise Loose components, worn bearings, lack of lubrication Tighten all fasteners, check bearings, lubricate if required
Overheating Dirty cooling fins, restricted ventilation, continuous operation Clean cooling fins, ensure proper ventilation, allow cool-down periods
Air leaks Loose fittings, damaged hose, faulty check valve Tighten all connections, replace damaged hose, check valve function
Moisture in air line High humidity, inadequate draining, missing air dryer Drain tank regularly, install air dryer, use moisture trap

Maintenance Schedule

  • Daily: Drain moisture from tank, check oil level (if applicable)
  • Weekly: Inspect hoses and connections for leaks
  • Monthly: Clean air filter, check safety valve operation
  • Quarterly: Inspect piston and cylinder for wear
