Wall Mounted Split System

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Refrigerant charging scale
  • Flaring tool set
  • Torque wrench
  • Level
  • Drill with core bit
  • Pipe cutter and reamer

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance (at least 15cm from ceiling, 30cm from walls) on a solid wall that can support unit weight.
  2. Install Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the wall using appropriate anchors, ensuring it is perfectly level.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: Drill a 65mm diameter hole through the wall with a slight downward slope to the outside for drainage.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation on both pipes.
  5. Connect Drainage Pipe: Install drainage pipe with continuous downward slope (minimum 1:100 gradient) to prevent water accumulation.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect power cables according to local electrical codes. Ensure proper grounding and correct voltage (220-240V, 50Hz).
  7. Vacuum and Leak Test: Evacuate the system to 500 microns and hold for 15 minutes to check for leaks.
  8. Charge Refrigerant: Add the exact amount of refrigerant specified on the unit nameplate using proper charging procedures.
  9. Test Operation: Run the system in cooling and heating modes to verify proper operation and temperature performance.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians only. Improper installation can cause equipment damage, personal injury, and void warranty coverage.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power outage, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, outdoor unit obstructed Clean filters, clear obstructions, check for leaks, clear outdoor unit area
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, frozen evaporator Clear drain pipe, ensure proper slope, check for ice formation
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibrating pipes, compressor issues Tighten mounting, clear debris, secure pipes, contact technician
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan, stagnant water Clean/replace filters, run self-clean cycle, ensure proper drainage
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, sensor issues Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, reset unit

Error Codes
