Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Drill with hole saw
  • Tape measure
  • Vacuum pump
  • Manifold gauge set

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper wall support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with adequate clearance for airflow.
  2. Install Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors and ensure it is perfectly level.
  3. Prepare Wall Opening: Drill a 3-inch hole through the wall for refrigerant lines and drainage hose, ensuring proper slope for drainage.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect the indoor and outdoor units with refrigerant lines, ensuring all connections are tight and properly insulated.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 220V, 50Hz circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes.
  6. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate air and moisture from the system using a vacuum pump, then charge with the specified amount of refrigerant.
  7. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and drainage to ensure proper operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by a certified HVAC technician. DIY installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, outdoor unit obstructed Clean filters, check for refrigerant leaks, clear outdoor unit area
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration Tighten all fasteners, clean fan blades, check mounting
Frozen indoor unit Dirty filters, low refrigerant, restricted airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, ensure proper airflow
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check remote sensor
