Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Tape measure
  • Vacuum pump and gauge manifold

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location on a solid wall with proper support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  2. Install Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors and ensure it is perfectly level.
  3. Create Wall Opening: Drill a 3-inch hole through the wall for refrigerant lines and drainage hose.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect the pre-charged refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring tight connections.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 230V, 50Hz, 15A circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes.
  6. Drainage Setup: Install the drainage hose with a downward slope to ensure proper water drainage.
  7. Vacuum and Test: Evacuate the system using a vacuum pump, then release refrigerant and test for leaks.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Air conditioner won't start Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling performance Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, outdoor unit obstructed Clean filters, clear obstructions, check for leaks, clear outdoor unit area
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, frozen evaporator Clear drain pipe, ensure proper slope, check for ice buildup
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibrating pipes Tighten all fasteners, clear debris, check pipe insulation
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan Clean or replace filters, clean drain pan and use anti-mold treatment
Remote control not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check indoor unit sensor
