Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Tape measure
  • Vacuum pump
  • Manifold gauge set

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper wall support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with adequate clearance for airflow.
  2. Install Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the wall using appropriate anchors and ensure it is perfectly level.
  3. Drill Hole for Piping: Drill a 3-inch hole through the wall for refrigerant lines, drain hose, and electrical wiring.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect the indoor and outdoor unit refrigerant lines, ensuring all connections are tight and properly sealed.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Route the condensate drain hose to proper drainage location with a downward slope.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 220V, 50Hz circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes.
  7. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines using a vacuum pump, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  8. Test Run: Run the air conditioner in cooling mode to check for proper operation, temperature drop, and any leaks.
Warning: Installation must be performed by a certified HVAC technician. DIY installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit won't turn on Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, outdoor unit obstructed Clean filters, clear obstructions, check for leaks, clear outdoor unit area
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, frozen evaporator Clear drain pipe, ensure proper slope, check for ice buildup
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibrating pipes Tighten mounting, clear debris, secure refrigerant lines
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan Clean or replace filters, clean drain pan and use anti-mold treatment
Remote control not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check indoor unit sensor
