Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with concrete/masonry bits
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Tape measure
  • Vacuum pump and gauge manifold
  • Pipe cutter and flaring tool

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper wall support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with adequate clearance for airflow.
  2. Install Mounting Bracket: Securely mount the bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors for your wall type.
  3. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect indoor and outdoor units with insulated copper pipes using flare connections.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated circuit with proper grounding according to local electrical codes.
  5. Drainage Connection: Install drain hose with proper downward slope to ensure water drainage.
  6. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  7. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. DIY installation voids warranty and may be dangerous.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power issue, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Not cooling/heating properly Dirty filters, blocked airflow, incorrect temperature setting Clean filters, clear obstructions, set appropriate temperature
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain, improper installation slope Clear drain line, ensure proper installation angle
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, improper installation Tighten all screws, clear debris, check installation
Remote not working Batteries dead, signal blocked, sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check sensor
Unit freezing up Dirty filters, low refrigerant, fan motor issue Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, inspect fan motor

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor error - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Evaporator temperature sensor error - Check sensor connection
  • E3: Condenser temperature sensor error - Check sensor connection
  • E4: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • E5: Overcurrent protection - Check power supply and compressor
  • E6: Compressor overload - Allow unit to cool down, check refrigerant
  • E7: Low refrigerant pressure - Check for leaks and refrigerant charge
