Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Refrigerant charging scale
  • Flaring tool set
  • Torque wrench
  • Pipe cutter and reamer
  • Multimeter
  • Level

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearances (minimum 30cm from ceiling, 15cm from walls), away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Securely mount the bracket to a solid wall using appropriate anchors and ensure it is perfectly level.
  3. Install Refrigerant Piping: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units using flare connections. Ensure pipes are properly insulated.
  4. Electrical Connections: Connect power supply wiring according to local electrical codes. Connect communication cable between indoor and outdoor units.
  5. Drainage Installation: Install drain hose with proper downward slope (minimum 1/100 gradient) to ensure proper condensation drainage.
  6. Vacuum and Leak Test: Evacuate the system using a vacuum pump for at least 15 minutes, then perform a leak test with nitrogen.
  7. Charge Refrigerant: Add the specified amount of R410A refrigerant according to pipe length using a charging scale.
  8. Test Operation: Power on the system and test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians only. Improper installation may cause equipment damage, reduced efficiency, and void warranty.

Key Features

Inverter Technology

Advanced DC inverter compressor adjusts speed continuously to maintain precise temperature control, reducing energy consumption by up to 40% compared to conventional systems.

Hyper-Heating INVERTER®

Provides 100% heating capacity even at -13°F outdoor temperatures, ensuring consistent comfort in extreme winter conditions.

3D i-See Sensor™

Intelligent infrared sensors detect human presence and movement, automatically directing airflow to occupied areas while avoiding direct draft on occupants.

Quiet Operation

Sound levels as low as 19 dB in quiet mode - quieter than a whisper. Special noise reduction technologies ensure minimal disturbance.

MELCloud Connectivity

Wi-Fi enabled for remote control via smartphone app, allowing scheduling, energy monitoring, and control from anywhere with internet access.

Air Purification

Multi-stage filtration system including plasma quad filter that removes up to 99% of airborne particles, allergens, and odors.

Advanced Operation Modes

Auto Changeover

Automatically switches between heating and cooling based on room temperature for year-round comfort

Eco Mode

Optimizes operation for maximum energy savings while maintaining comfort levels

Powerful Mode

Rapid cooling or heating for quick temperature recovery when entering a room

Quiet Mode

Reduces fan speed and compressor operation for ultra-quiet nighttime operation

I-Feel Control

Uses remote control as temperature sensor for precise comfort where you are

Follow Me Function

Directs airflow to follow movement in the room using intelligent sensors

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power failure, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, outdoor unit obstruction Clean filters, clear obstructions, check refrigerant charge, clear outdoor unit area
Water leakage Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, frozen evaporator Clear drain line, ensure proper slope, check for ice formation
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration from mounting Tighten all fasteners, clear debris, check mounting stability
Remote control not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check indoor unit sensor
Error code displayed System malfunction, sensor failure, communication error Note error code and refer to service manual, contact technician

Common Error Codes

  • P1/P2: Power supply abnormality - Check voltage and wiring
  • E1/E2: Communication error between units - Check wiring connections
  • F1/F2: Indoor temperature sensor error - Replace sensor
  • H1/H2: Compressor overload protection - Check for restrictions, wait 3 minutes
  • J1/J2: Refrigerant pressure abnormality - Check for leaks or restrictions
  • U1/U2: Power module error - Contact service technician
  • L5: Inverter compressor error - System shutdown required
