Wall Mounted Split System

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Refrigerant charging scale
  • Torque wrench set
  • Flaring tool kit
  • Pipe cutter and reamer
  • Multimeter
  • Level
  • Drill with core bit

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearances (minimum 15cm from ceiling, 30cm from side walls) on a solid wall that can support unit weight.
  2. Install Wall Mounting Plate: Securely mount the installation plate to the wall using appropriate anchors, ensuring it is perfectly level.
  3. Prepare Refrigerant Piping: Cut copper pipes to required length, deburr ends, and flare connections to proper specifications (45° flare angle).
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect indoor and outdoor units with insulated copper pipes, ensuring all connections are tight and leak-free.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect power supply wiring according to local electrical codes. Connect communication cable between indoor and outdoor units.
  6. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns minimum, hold for 15 minutes to check for leaks, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  7. Test Operation: Power on system and test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by licensed HVAC technicians only. Improper installation can cause equipment damage, poor performance, and void warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power outage, circuit breaker tripped, remote battery dead Check power supply, reset breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, incorrect temperature setting Clean filters, remove obstructions, set appropriate temperature
Water dripping indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration from mounting Tighten all screws, clean indoor unit, check mounting stability
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check remote sensor
Frozen indoor unit Dirty filters, low refrigerant, fan motor failure Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, inspect fan motor

Error Codes
