Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe cutter
  • Vacuum pump
  • Manifold gauge

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper clearance (minimum 15cm from ceiling, 30cm from walls) and solid wall structure.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate securely to wall, ensuring it's level. Hang indoor unit on plate.
  3. Install Outdoor Unit: Place outdoor unit on stable, level surface with proper ventilation (minimum 30cm clearance on all sides).
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units. Ensure proper insulation on pipes.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect power cables to appropriate terminals. Follow local electrical codes and use dedicated circuit.
  6. Connect Drain Hose: Route drain hose with proper downward slope to ensure water drainage.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate air from refrigerant lines using vacuum pump, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  8. Test Run: Run the air conditioner through complete cooling and heating cycles to check operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technician to ensure proper operation, safety, and maintain warranty coverage.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit won't start Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, incorrect temperature setting Clean filters, clear obstructions, set appropriate temperature
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clean drain pipe, ensure proper downward slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, ice buildup Tighten components, clean fan blades, check for ice formation
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in unit Clean filters, run fan mode to dry unit, use anti-bacterial treatment
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote damage Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check remote condition
