Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Pipe cutter and flaring tool
  • Vacuum pump and manifold gauge
  • Torque wrench
  • Electrical test equipment
  • Level and measuring tape

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance for airflow, drainage, and service access on a solid wall.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate securely to wall, ensuring proper leveling for condensate drainage.
  3. Install Refrigerant Piping: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units using proper insulation and flare connections.
  4. Electrical Connections: Connect power supply cables to specified terminals following UK wiring regulations (BS 7671).
  5. Drainage System: Install condensate drain pipe with proper slope (minimum 1:100 gradient) to ensure water drainage.
  6. Vacuum and Pressure Test: Evacuate system to remove moisture and air, then pressure test for leaks.
  7. Commissioning: Release refrigerant, test all functions, and configure system settings.
Warning: Installation must be performed by F-Gas certified engineers to comply with UK regulations and maintain warranty coverage.

Key Features

Inverter Technology

Advanced DC inverter compressor adjusts power output to match exact cooling/heating demands, providing consistent temperature control with up to 40% energy savings.

3D i-See Sensor

Intelligent sensor detects human presence and movement, automatically directing airflow away from occupants for enhanced comfort while optimising energy usage.

Eco-friendly R32 Refrigerant

Uses R32 refrigerant with 68% lower global warming potential than R410A, complying with latest F-Gas regulations and environmental standards.

Wi-Fi Control & MELCloud

Connect to MELCloud platform for remote control via smartphone, scheduling, energy monitoring, and integration with smart home systems.

Quiet Operation

Advanced noise reduction technology delivers whisper-quiet operation as low as 19dB, equivalent to rustling leaves.

Powerful Heating

Hyper Heating technology maintains full heating capacity even at -15°C outdoor temperature, ideal for UK winter conditions.

Operation Modes Explained

Auto Mode

Intelligently switches between cooling and heating based on room temperature

Eco Mode

Optimises energy consumption while maintaining comfort levels

Powerful Mode

Rapid cooling/heating for quick temperature adjustment

Quiet Mode

Reduces fan speed for ultra-quiet nighttime operation

Dry Mode

Dehumidifies air without significant cooling, ideal for UK damp conditions

Fan Only

Circulates air without cooling or heating function

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not starting Power supply issue, remote control batteries dead Check circuit breaker, replace remote batteries, ensure power switch is on
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, incorrect mode Clean air filters, clear obstructions, select correct operating mode
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, incorrect installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper drainage slope (minimum 1:100)
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, ice formation Tighten mounting screws, clear debris, check for ice on coils
Remote not working Batteries dead, signal blocked, sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure clear line of sight, check remote sensor
Error code displayed System fault, sensor failure, communication error Note error code and refer to service manual, contact technician

Common Error Codes

  • E0: Outdoor unit protection - Check outdoor unit operation
  • E1: Indoor PCB fault - Contact service technician
  • E6: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • H0: Sensor fault - Check temperature sensors
  • H3: High pressure protection - Check refrigerant pressure
  • P1: Fan motor protection - Check indoor fan operation
  • P8: High temperature protection - Allow unit to cool down
