Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrenches (set)
  • Torque wrench
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe thread sealant
  • Level
  • Air pressure gauge
  • Electrical multimeter

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a clean, dry, well-ventilated area with sufficient clearance for maintenance access and proper airflow.
  2. Foundation Preparation: Install on a solid, level concrete foundation capable of supporting the compressor's weight and vibration.
  3. Uncrating and Positioning: Remove all shipping materials and position the compressor using appropriate lifting equipment.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to proper power supply according to nameplate specifications. Install disconnect switch within sight of compressor.
  5. Air System Piping: Install air discharge piping with proper slope for condensation drainage. Use pipe thread sealant on all connections.
  6. Intake Air System: Connect intake filter assembly and ensure clean, cool air supply free from contaminants.
  7. Lubrication System: Check oil level and fill with recommended compressor oil to proper level.
  8. Pressure Settings: Adjust pressure switch cut-in and cut-out settings according to application requirements.
  9. Initial Startup: Perform pre-startup checks, then run compressor through complete cycle to verify proper operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel following all local codes and regulations. Failure to properly install may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload Check power supply, verify pressure switch settings, reset overloads
Low air pressure output Intake filter clogged, air leaks, worn components Clean/replace intake filter, check for system leaks, inspect valves
Excessive noise/vibration Foundation issues, loose components, bearing wear Check foundation bolts, tighten mounting hardware, inspect bearings
High operating temperature Cooling system blockage, low oil level, ambient temperature Clean cooling surfaces, check oil level, improve ventilation
Excessive oil consumption Oil separator failure, internal leaks, wrong oil type Replace separator element, check for internal leaks, use correct oil
Frequent cycling Air leaks, undersized receiver, incorrect pressure settings Locate and repair leaks, check receiver size, adjust pressure switch

Error Codes

  • E01: High temperature shutdown - Check cooling system and oil level
  • E02: High pressure shutdown - Verify pressure switch settings and relief valve
  • E03: Motor overload - Check electrical connections and load conditions
  • E04: Low oil pressure - Inspect oil pump and filter
  • E05: Phase loss/sequence error - Verify three-phase power supply
  • E06: Sensor fault - Check temperature and pressure sensors
  • E07: Communication error - Inspect control wiring and connections
