Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Tape measure
  • Pipe thread sealant

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a well-ventilated location on a solid, level floor away from moisture and flammable materials.
  2. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all packaging materials and inspect the compressor for any shipping damage.
  3. Position the Compressor: Place the compressor on a stable surface, ensuring adequate clearance for airflow and maintenance access.
  4. Check Oil Level: Verify the oil level in the pump crankcase and add recommended oil if necessary.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 15A, AC outlet with correct circuit protection. Do not use an extension cord.
  6. Air Line Connection: Install air hose using appropriate fittings and thread sealant. Ensure all connections are tight.
  7. Pressure Settings: Set the pressure switch cut-in and cut-out pressures according to your application requirements.
  8. Initial Test Run: Run the compressor without load for 10-15 minutes to check for proper operation and leaks.
Warning: All installations must be performed by a qualified technician. Ensure proper ventilation and follow all safety guidelines to prevent injury.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload tripped Check power supply, reset thermal overload, check pressure switch
Low pressure output Leaking fittings, worn piston rings, clogged intake filter Check for leaks, inspect piston rings, clean or replace air filter
Excessive noise Loose components, worn bearings, lack of lubrication Tighten all fasteners, check bearings, ensure proper oil level
Oil in air lines Overfilled oil, worn piston rings, faulty check valve Check oil level, inspect piston rings, replace check valve
Motor overheats Inadequate ventilation, excessive cycling, low voltage Improve ventilation, check for leaks, verify voltage supply
Slow recovery time Worn pump, leaking tank, undersized motor Check pump condition, inspect tank for leaks, verify motor specs

Maintenance Schedule

  • Daily: Drain moisture from tank, check oil level
  • Weekly: Inspect hoses and fittings for leaks
  • Monthly: Clean air intake filter, check belt tension
  • Every 3 Months: Change compressor oil
  • Every 6 Months: Inspect safety valve, check tank for corrosion
  • Annually: Complete system inspection, replace air filter
